Worum geht es in Rail Wars!?
Wir befinden uns in einer Parallelwelt, in der die japanische Eisenbahn nicht privatisiert wurde. Naoto Takayama ist High School Schüler und träumt von einer bequemen Zukunft als Angestellter bei der hochklassigen Japanischen Nationalen Eisenbahn. Er wird als Praktikant dem Eisenbahn-Sicherheitsdienst zugeteilt, einer Ansammlung von schrägen Charakteren, wie etwa Sakurai, die Männer nicht ausstehen kann.

The engine that will pull their train to Tokyo is the KiHa 381, equipped with a pendulum-style, diesel-fueled gas turbine engine. Shortly after they depart, Naoto hears a strange sound and can't shake the feeling that something isn't right.
